About the team

The Enterprise Applications team at Rubrik enables business processes, employee experience, and technologies to scale our organization to $1B+. This team is responsible for all the enterprise applications used at Rubrik and the relevant business processes (Lead to Opportunity, Quote to Cash, Hire to Retire, Customer Support, Legal, & Facilities). The IT team caters to accelerated enhancement of business value and multiple day-to-day business processes through our varied SaaS applications like Salesforce.com, Oracle Netsuite, Workday, Coupa, Chromeriver, Snowflake, Etrade, Xactly, MuleSoft, etc.

About the role

The IT Product Manager will own the Record to Report (R2R) track from an IT perspective and ensure the needs of the stakeholders (General Ledger, Payables, Receivables, Fixed Assets, Accounting, Commissions, and others) around the R2R process and systems are taken care of. Rubrik has a fast-paced agile environment and the candidate will be involved from inception to delivery. The resource will closely work with US business stakeholders and needs to work in a PST-friendly time zone. Work hours will be 9pm IST to 6 am IST.

The ideal candidate is able to drive multiple initiatives with the Record to Report (R2R) track of various sizes and complexities from initiation to completion. This candidate will provide accountability and authority over projects as well as be able to define and execute against a project plan. The candidate will look for ways to ensure various systems within the Accounting are functioning as expected. The candidate seeks to understand cross-functional dependencies and drives collaboration to resolve them.

What you'll do:

  • Closely work with the various business stakeholders on a day-to-day basis in the accounting track and understand the business needs 
  • Effectively document the business requirements and communicate with the onsite/offshore IT team to drive results
  • Manage the impact of accounting activities on finance systems, including ERP and accounting systems on Netsuite, Chromeriver, and Xactly.
  • Quickly adapt to new technologies, think innovatively to find creative solutions, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Manage end-to-end program management from proposal through solution delivery, business adoption, and post-implementation support using agile / sprint framework.
  • Work with cross-functional teams among Business, Operation, and IT teams to identify scope, estimate work efforts, define timelines, and manage resources.
  • Manage and communicate with onsite/offshore stakeholders and team members during non-traditional business hours on the need-base
  • Proactively communicate the various upgrades done to the Netsuite systems 
  • Work with the vendor(s) as needed to understand the new features/functionalities within their systems
  • Conduct UAT sessions with business users
  • Train the IT team & business users as needed on any new features/functionality being introduced.
  • Resolving product issues by opening, updating, and escalating service tickets with product vendors

Experience you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting Finance, or Engineering with 10+ years of experience in business systems and analytics
  • Minimum of 8+ years experience in accounting operations with strong process knowledge on Record to Report (R2R).
  • 5+ years of extensive Accounting  Mgmt experience in strategizing & implementing tools like Netsuite to handle accounting regulation changes like ASC606. Xactly commission expense accounting (CEA) experience will be a plus.
  • Extensive Cross-functional knowledge in Enterprise business processes both in breadth & depth spanning across Record to Report (R2R), Procure to Pat (P2P), Order to Cash O2C) & Revenue and Account to Report/Forecast. 
  • Hands-on Experience in leading SaaS / Cloud solutions such as NetSuite, Xactly etc
  • Strong blend of business sense and process knowledge: You evaluate things holistically and think through the objectives, impacts, best practices, and what will be simple and scalable
  • Multi-tasking prioritization expertise: Experience (and preferably an enjoyment of) balancing numerous different priorities and demands
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization and interact with cross-functional teams
  • Experience working with an Onsite / Offshore model is preferred
  • Quickly adapt to new technologies, think innovatively to find creative solutions, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver program status, roadmaps, business outcomes & impacts, and metrics
  • Good listener, willing to learn new things, and thrive in a fast-paced team environment
  • Self-starter, motivated, organized,d and company-first mentality
  • Detail oriented yet see the big picture
  • Well-versed with tools/systems/processes to comply with various regulations and governance such as SOX, ASC 606, IFRS15, etc is a plus

Miscellaneous.  The terms of this Agreement will remain in effect with respect to any particular Confidential Information until you can document that such Confidential Information falls into one of the exceptions stated in Section 2 above.  You acknowledge and agree that due to the unique nature of the Confidential Information, any breach of this Agreement would cause irreparable harm to Company for which damages are not an adequate remedy, and that Company shall therefore be entitled to equitable relief in addition to all other remedies available at law.  This Agreement is personal to you, nonassignable by you, governed by the internal laws of the State of California and may be modified or waived only in writing signed by both parties.  If any provision of this Agreement is found to be unenforceable, such provision will be limited or deleted to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining terms remain in full force and effect.  The prevailing party in any dispute or legal action regarding the subject matter of this Agreement shall be entitled to recover attorneys’ fees and costs.
